Elisabeth Rose woke up the next morning, the bright sun shining on her face. She covered her eyes from the sun with her hand. "The sun is so bright," she said, squinting. She jumped out of bed, watching Skits run back and forth, softly barking. "Awww, Skits," She ran and picked Skits up from the ground. She nestled her nose on his fur. "Arhhhhhh," woofed Skits, softly. Elisabeth Rose gently laid him back down on the carpet floor. "I'll see you later, Skits," nodded Elisabeth, gently talking to Skits. "Woooooffff!" barked Skits. Elisabeth walked downstairs, already having her robe and slippers on. "Hi, honey!" Mom said. "Hiya, Mom!" Elisabeth Rose replied. "Ready for another day of ballet?" Mom giggled. "Yup! And Mom, did you realize that rhymes?" said Elisabeth Rose. "No, sweetie, I didn't! And also," continued Mom, "I didn't wake up early enough to make you breakfast. But you can eat some lunch I packed!". Elisabeth's face fell, then quickly looked back at her mom. "Okay, Mom, at least I have lunch. I almost thought I wouldn't have anything to eat today!" Elisabeth Rose chuckled to herself. "Alright, sweetie, go get your clothes on before you are late to ballet class. As it is," remarked Mom, "You only have 25 minutes left before class starts!". Elisabeth gasped, said nothing, ran and put her clothes on for ballet. She snatched her lunchbox and ran out the door, only saying, "Bye, Mom!". Elisabeth barely heard an answer when she closed the door, barely a faint, "Bye!". Elisabeth ran down the sidewalk as fast as she could to Isles Ballet School. When she got to ballet, she was 2 minutes early. Elisabeth was going to say "hi" to Marie Antoinette when she saw her, but Marie was talking to another girl Elisabeth hadn't seen before. She looked the girl up and down. The girl looked like she was 13 yrs. old, she had dirty blond hair, very pale green eyes, somewhat tall, and very hyper looking. Marie Antoinette turned around and saw Elisabeth coming. "Hey, Lizzy! This is-" Marie started introducing the girl next to her, but the girl interrupted and said, "Tiffany Garnet. That's my name." said Tiffany, smiling at Elisabeth. "Hi, Tiffany! I'm Elisabeth Rose. How old are you?". "Thirteen," replied Tiffany. "Cool! I'm 12." grinned Elisabeth. All of a sudden, they heard some screeching noise and stomping on brakes outside. They looked out the window. Julia, with a lady of some 52 years, was in a car. The lady was yelling at Julia. "Now go to class before you're late, and if you're late, you would've broken one of your New Year's resolutions. And besides, this car feels like it's going to fall apart at any moment. I'll see you later!". The rusty looking car drove off, leaving Julia standing at the sidewalk. "I bet that was her aunt." thought Elisabeth. Julia ran inside, blushing. "Hi," she said briefly to Elisabeth, Marie, and Tiffany. "Hey," they replied. Tiffany stepped forward to Julia. "Are you new?" Tiffany asked, kindly. "Not really. Are you?" Julia replied. "Yes. I just joined this class today. My name is Tiffany Garnet, and I'm 13 years old." said Tiffany, warmly. Mrs. Isles started walking to the classroom from down the hall. "Hello, girls!" Mrs. Isles greeted them all warmly. ''Hello!" they replied. "Girls, if you haven't met her already, this is Tiffany Garnet," she said, pointing her slender middle finger at Tiffany. "Anyway, girls, let's start class with some pirouttes."

After class, the girls walked home, going to eat their lunch. They talked about various things and random things, all the while sending friendly smiles to each other and laughing. Then, all of a sudden, they heard a harsh, furious sound. An angry little bulldog was chasing them! "Ah!" the girls cried. They started running as fast as they could, with the fuming dog at their heels. "Hurry! To my house!" gasped Elisabeth, "It's the closest!" "Okay!" replied the girls. Half a minute later Elisabeth said, "Almost there!". The mad bulldog was almost going to bite Julia's heel, when Elisabeth opened the door to the house and they all rushed in. "Thank goodness, that was close!" said Tiffany. "Yeah, I know, right? That crazy animal almost bit my heel!" Julia replied. "Hey, girls!". Elisabeth's mom walked in. "Are you coming for a big lunch girls?" Mom asked. "We were-" started Elisabeth. "A bu-" cut in Tiffany. "-lldog chased-" shouted Julia. "-Us!" cried Marie. "Well, well, looks like you girls are scared, aren't you?" Mom joked. "Come on in, lunch's ready." Mom added with a wink.
The girls giggled and ran into the dining room to eat lunch.
